Bar Thyme, your local neighbourhood restaurant, is a warm and relaxed space where you can spend ‘thyme’ with family and friends, or enjoy a glass of wine on your own at the bar.
We like to think of it as an extension of our home where everyone is welcome. We play a mix of new and old vinyl and are always open to requests. Sit back and enjoy reading vintage menus from 1972 London which hang on the walls. Shelves are decorated with bottles of wines we've enjoyed since we've opened Bar Thyme and knick knacks collected during our travels.
The food menu is seasonal and changes weekly (sometimes daily) ensuring we have only the best produce from local and ethical suppliers. Expect to find dishes like freshly shucked oysters, sourdough bread baked daily, crunchy-on-the-outside-and-gooey-on-the-inside croquettes, and a perfectly cooked sirloin steak served with Café de Paris butter. The menu is designed to share but can easily be adapted into a meal for one.
Our wine list is made up of natural wines sourced from near and far, with a strong focus on small producers who believe in organic or biodynamic farming and produce wine with little to no additions. It’s all about the grapes. We take great pride and joy in finding the right bottle of wine for you.
The cocktail list is a mix of unique to Bar Thyme creations which also change seasonally, and let's not forget the true classics. We know how to make a mean martini (it's not mean at all, in fact, it's dirty, wet, dry, with a twist, or any which way you like). Syrups and soft drinks are house made and there's always a selection of booze free drinks to enjoy.
We have a special selection of sherrys, vermouths to start off your night and an array of digestives, to help you end your meal on a high.
